Vicky: Mindfulness meditation

Vicky is the founder of The Wee Retreat CIC, a mother of 2, an Educational Psychologist and a Mindfulness Meditation practitioner and credits her Mindfulness practice for keeping her sane!

In 2010, Vicky took an 8-week beginners Mindfulness course to escape the crazy busyness of her life for 2 hours a week. What she didn’t realise was how much Mindfulness would impact her and her life around her. After completing her Mindfulness teacher training with her teacher, Suryacitta Malcolm Smith, Vicky has been sharing Mindfulness with people ever since. Based on her own experiences and knowledge, Vicky also created a Mindful Parenting course to help parents cope with the often relentless and demanding job of being a parent which she also enjoys sharing with people on her retreats.

Donna: Mindfulness Meditation

Donna has been sharing her mindfulness practice for the past 4 years. Her approach is informed by her Zen mediation practice. She has trained with Youth Mindfulness, Mindfulness CIC, Mindfulness Connected Learning & Compassionate Systems.

Donna started meditating over 22 years ago, successfully overcoming anxiety and depression. She works extensively in community settings teaching mindful crafts and eco up-cycling. She is a Designer and lives in the Southside of Glasgow with her husband and three children.

Lyndsey: Kids yoga

A mother of two and a Support for Learning Worker in a primary school, Lyndsey knows that life can be nonstop. Attending a course in mindfulness, prompted her to research children’s yoga as a way of combining her love of yoga and experience of working with young children.

Lyndsey qualified to teach children’s yoga in 2016 and has been teaching ever since.

Anne Marie: Hatha yoga

Anne Marie turned to yoga 8 years ago. Her job was affecting her in many ways and felt stressed every day. AM describes herself at that time as short-tempered, no patience for her children, unhappy and unfulfilled.

Yoga has not only helped AM manage her stress, it has helped her find an inner calmness and peace. It has helped AM take a step back and realise what is important in her life. She wanted to share these benefits with others and so travelled to Indonesia to complete her YTS teacher training in Hatha yoga at Santosha School in Nusa Lembongan.

AM’s classes are relaxed and fun, we don’t take it all too seriously and it’s fine to make mistakes!

Debs: Seasonal, family & yin yoga


Debs teaches all age groups from babies to teens and adults, including children with additional needs.  Her classes are influenced by the styles of yoga she have practised over the years and the teachers who have inspired her. Debs teaches from the heart and with a sense of humour.

Debs is a Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher, trained through SYA in Glasgow, qualified through Birthlight to teach babies and toddlers, and holds certifications in children’s yoga and yoga for additional needs.

Victoria: Pre & post natal yoga

Victoria is a 200hr CYS trained and Yoga Alliance certified teacher who has gone on to specialise in Yoga for Pregnancy (+85hrs) with the British Wheel of Yoga. Having practised yoga throughout her singleton and twin pregnancies and beyond, she has first hand understanding of the benefits of yoga for a woman’s body and mind during pregnancy and while healing postnatally. Her classes are fun, energising but ultimately relaxing and are a wonderful way to connect with other mums in a safe and nurturing environment.
